Minosh, Aslan, and why Animood exists

Some businesses are born from market research. Animood was born from a cat we had to give away.

Minosh

Minosh was my first cat, when I was younger. I don't remember choosing to love him; it just happened, like with a brother or sister you didn't choose either but still love with all your heart. And then one day, for reasons that weren't his fault or really mine, we had to give him away. I never really knew how to explain it to him, and I never really moved on either. They say time heals all wounds, but some things, it just moves a little further away.

Aslan

Today there's Aslan. And with him, I think I'm trying to fix something without ever saying it out loud. Every slightly more attentive gesture, every product chosen carefully rather than at random, every time I take the time to check that he is well, comfortable, with nothing to hurt or worry him, it's a little bit for him, and it's a little bit for Minosh too.

What Minosh taught me

He taught me that an animal is not an object you own, nor a simple companion you add to your life. It's a family member, just like a brother, sister, parent, or close friend. You don't treat someone you love lightly. You pay attention to their comfort, their safety, their small daily joys. That's exactly the idea behind Animood: accessories designed to make the lives of our cats and dogs a little softer, a little simpler, never to check a marketing box.

Why I'm telling you this

Because with every product we choose to sell at Animood, I ask myself one question: would I use it for Aslan? If the answer isn't a clear yes, the product doesn't join the store. This isn't a brand strategy. It's just what I owe to Minosh, and what I owe to Aslan today.

Thank you for being part of this story, even without knowing it, every time you take care of your own pet a little like you would take care of a brother, sister, or friend. 🐾
