Holidays, weekend trips to the vet, moving house: sooner or later, every cat or dog travels by car. Here's how to make it a more serene experience for both of you.
1. A bag or trolley adapted to its size
An animal that feels cramped or, conversely, too free in the cabin will be more stressed. Our backpacks and wheeled trolleys are designed to offer enough space to settle in comfortably, while remaining secure during the journey.
2. Accustom your pet before the big day
Leave the carrier bag open at home a few days before departure, with a blanket inside that already smells of your home. Your cat or dog will associate the bag with a safe place rather than a source of stress.
3. Plan regular breaks
For long journeys, a break every two hours allows your dog to stretch its legs and drink. Even cats appreciate regular checks to make sure everything is alright.
4. Never feed just before leaving
A hearty meal before a car journey increases the risk of motion sickness. It's better to feed your pet at least two hours before departure.
5. Keep familiar belongings close at hand
Its favorite toy, its blanket, a little of its usual kibble: these small familiar items make a real difference to anxiety during the journey.
Good equipment doesn't replace preparation, but it complements it. That's the whole spirit of our Transport & Travel collection. 🐾
